Chateau Tivoli Bed and Breakfast occupies a restored 1880s Victorian mansion in San Francisco's Alamo Square Historic District. The property features 9 rooms with American Renaissance furnishings, Bradbury & Bradbury wallpaper, and antique claw-foot tubs. Room options include the Mark Twain Suite with a king-size canopy bed and private parlor, the Luisa Tetrazzini Suite with a queen-size carved oak bed, and economy suites in the basement with private sidewalk entrances. All rooms include high-speed Wi-Fi but no televisions.
Complimentary Dining Services
A daily three-course homemade breakfast is served from 8-10 AM in the dining room, with champagne available on weekends. Guests can take meals to their rooms. From 4-6 PM, a complimentary wine and cheese reception is held in the parlor. Self-serve tea is available throughout the day in the dining room. Afternoon tea service features loose-leaf teas, finger sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, and house-made desserts.

The Western Addition neighborhood includes Divisadero Street restaurants and shops (3 blocks), Fillmore Jazz District with Yoshi's Jazz Club (4 blocks), Japantown (6 blocks), and Hayes Valley or Pacific Heights (8 blocks). Public transportation provides access to downtown areas, with BART service from Powell Street Station connecting to the airport.
Family-Owned Hospitality Services
The Shohet family has operated the B&B since 1997, offering luggage storage and knowledgeable local recommendations. The property accommodates events for up to 60 guests, including weddings and holiday parties. Rollaway beds are available by advance request. The B&B is walk-up only with no elevator service.
